iPad Publishing Project

We’re at the early stages. Here’s what I can tell you:

I’m working with a Silicon Valley software programmer on creating children’s stories and educational games as iPad apps.

Our market is ages 2-6, approximately. If you have something for a little bit older market, we’re still curious to see it.

We’re interested in stories that work with images and narration. (We have a narrator. Thanks!)

I soliciting stories and educational games that are complete and well-edited.

I’m also requesting art appropriate for such stories and games.

Authors: Please send me a query about your story or game. We are looking for series ideas, so be sure to include your idea for the series. Please put QUERY in the subject line.

Illustrators: Please send me a link to your online portfolio. If you don’t have an online portfolio, you can send me 2-3 representative images of your art as jpgs or PDFs.

Author/Illustrators: Query first. If I like your concept, I’ll request your story and its art, as a PDF or jpgs. Thanks!

Note: Our work together is a not a work-for-hire project, in most cases. Publishing contracts will be issued once all parties agree that going forward to publication is the right fit.

New Publishing Paradigm

We don’t pay an advance at this time. Instead, authors and illustrators will receive a percentage of retail sales.
